Terms of Service

Service overview

KATAKA is a subscription service for US-based Korean learners that provides phone calls, AI-assisted conversation practice, and post-call learning reports.

Expressions, corrections, and reports provided by the service are learning aids. They are not professional interpretation, legal, medical, financial, immigration, or emergency advice.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate email, phone, payment, and scheduling information. You are responsible for activity under your account.

The service is not for children under 13. Minors may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.

Scheduling and calls

You are responsible for being available at the scheduled call time. Calls may fail because of your network, blocked calls, an incorrect number, carrier issues, or third-party phone infrastructure.

Schedule changes and cancellations must follow the flow shown in the service or the instructions provided by customer support. If you miss a scheduled call, the session may be treated as used.

Reports and AI output

Post-call summaries, corrections, suggested expressions, and study points may be generated with automated analysis and may not always be complete or error-free.

You may use reports for personal learning. You may not copy, resell, commercially redistribute, or misuse the service screens, reports, or system output.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are charged according to the price, call allowance, features, and billing cycle shown at checkout. Taxes, card fees, and currency costs may vary by payment method and location.

Subscriptions may renew until canceled. Cancellation applies to the next billing period, and refunds for an active billing period are handled under the Refund Policy.

Prohibited use

You may not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, discriminatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, rights-infringing, or service-disrupting activity.

You may not scrape the service at scale, bypass security controls, reverse engineer source code or model behavior, or use the calling system for spam.

Service changes

KATAKA may change features, plans, pricing, call delivery methods, or supported regions. Material changes will be communicated through the service, email, or another reasonable channel.

Maintenance, security incidents, phone network issues, and third-party provider outages may temporarily limit the service.

Liability and contact

To the extent permitted by law, KATAKA limits liability for indirect damages, special damages, lost expected benefits, and issues caused by your phone or network environment.

Questions about these terms, billing, accounts, or service use should be submitted through the customer support channel available in the service.
